Biblical Nations complies with applicable laws when processing personal information and other data. That is why we have prepared this privacy statement . Because we take your privacy very seriously, we handle your personal information with care.
We handle the information we store and use about you with care and in accordance with applicable laws. In this privacy statement, we explain how and for what purpose we collect and process personal data. We also explain how we protect your privacy.
Scope of the Privacy Policy
This privacy statement applies to the processing of data:
- personal information provided by sponsors, donors, ambassadors, and business associates; and
- data obtained as a result of visits to and use of our websites; and
- participation in events organized by Biblical Nations or other fundraising activities.

Personal Data We Process
Biblical Nations collects your personal data because you are involved in, or wish to become involved in, the work of our foundation in any way. This may be because you support our foundation financially, but it could also be, for example, because you wish to receive our newsletter, volunteer with us, or attend an event we organize. We process the following personal data: first and last name, address, phone number, email address, gender, date of birth, IBAN, and other personal data that you actively provide, for example, by filling out a job application form or a form for recurring donations.
Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process
Through our websites and products/services, we do not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16, unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to help prevent the collection of information about children without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us.
In some cases, we process special categories of personal data, namely:
- Church affiliation and religious beliefs when completing the job application form; the basis for this is a legitimate interest stemming from the foundation’s Christian identity.
- Citizen Service Number (BSN) – If you choose to support Biblical Nations with a recurring donation through a donation agreement, we are required to register your BSN. This is a requirement of the Tax Authority.

The work of Biblical Nations is made possible by donations (from individuals, church congregations, and businesses, among others), contributions from foundations, revenue from events, and the dedication of many volunteers. Through newsletters, events, initiatives, and campaigns, we aim to inspire as many people as possible to contribute their talents, networks, time, and financial support to our mission. This is essential for our organization’s continued existence. For this reason, it is very important to us that we can reach out to our contacts in a targeted manner by mail, email, or phone. We therefore use the personal data we have collected for relationship management and fundraising purposes.
How Long We Retain Personal Data
Biblical Nations does not retain your personal data any longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.
Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties
Your data will be used exclusively by us or on our behalf. We may engage third parties to perform services for Biblical Nations. These parties may use the personal data we provide only to perform the agreed-upon services for Biblical Nations.
This is always done under a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality for your data.
If you have provided us with an email address, you will receive a regular newsletter via email to keep you informed about our work and activities. Biblical Nations uses an external program to manage subscriptions and send out newsletters. This external provider processes your data using standard techniques that help us monitor and optimize our newsletters. At the bottom of each newsletter, you’ll find a link that allows you to unsubscribe.

Biblical Nations uses technical and functional cookies that are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your user experience. They ensure that the website functions properly and, for example, remember your preferences. We collect anonymous visitor data on our websites for the purpose of further developing and optimizing the websites’ design. We use Google Analytics for this purpose.
